About This Item
Henry Holt and Company, 1890. Hardcover. Very Good. Clean pages except for a prior owner's inscription on the front free endpaper with some reciprocal ink spotting on the fixed endpaper; the hard cover shows scattered but unobtrusive specks and smudges, scuffing around the bottom right front corner and lighter wear along head and heel edges, and mild wear to the cloth at spine ends and flaking of the gilt titles at spine, otherwise well-kept. 68pp. A brief essay on the liberation of the mind through routinization of mundane tasks (not particularly exemplified in the author's life, but wonderfully pragmatic). First edition in this form.
