DJ has light shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities. Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine and front board. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. Bookplate present to the front pastedown. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. A biography of fifty years of naval service. Schroeder served with Commodore John Rodgers on the 1871 Korean expedition, commanded the battleship Virginia, and later Louisiana during the world cruise of the Great White Fleet. He commanded the Atlantic Fleet from 1906 until his retirement in 1911. EB; 9.1 X 6.6 X 1.1 inches; 444 pages .
