Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Binding remains firm. Cracking to hinges, no damage to end papers. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Sunning to spine from jacket loss. Unclipped jacket has moderate edge-wear with chips, tears and creasing. Staining to rear panel.

First edition. 279 pages with b&w photographs; maps on endpapers/inside of boards.Dust jacket is extensively tanned and shows signs of wear, especially on spine and corners; two small tears. Turquoise cloth boards are rubbed on edges and corners; gilt lettering on spine. Text block is spotted on edges but pages are otherwise unmarked. Discoloured strips on endpapers and inside of boards. Binding just starting to separate slightly by front board. Pencilled price on front free endpaper.
