About This Item

New York: McGraw-Hill, 1906. First Edition. Cloth. Very good. 8vo. Navy cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Diagrams and illustrations throughout. 708 pp.
Minor scuffing to edges. Hinges overopened. Ownership stamps of Clarence T. Brewer inside covers and on title page. Index tabs inserted by previous owner on right edge of many pages, and several pages have creases or tears at the tabs.
This is a scarce first edition math and engineering textbook. It was owned by noted Chicago engineer Clarence T. Brewer, who owned a local engineering and consulting firm which held a number of patents. A handsomely printed volume which would make a lovely gift for the science-minded person.
