Covers rubbed with additional wear to the extremities, spine darkened, joints good, front hinge internally lightly cracked but very secure, text block sound, armorial bookplate of Frederick Collins Wilson inside the front cover along with a gift notation to him from a Nina Layton on the preliminary blank, neatly handwritten list of Saxon kings on verso of the front free endpaper, pages clean with no other markings..
