Paris: Imprimerie Chaix, 1898. Original color lithograph, framed beautifully in gilt frame with gilt fillet and silk covered mat. Maitre embossed stamp in lower right hand corner. A trifle sunned. Print size 15 3/4 x 11 3/8" in frame 21 3/4 x 18".
Edward Penfield (June 2, 1866 - February 8, 1925) was an American illustrator in the era known as the "Golden Age of American Illustration" and he is considered the father of the American poster.
