Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1913. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR at front end page -"Mr Henry E. Rood with the warm regards of Caroline Ticknor, November 1913". A great publishing ASSOCIATION COPY. Caroline Ticknor (1866-1937) was the granddaughter of William D. Ticknor, who founded Ticknor and Fields. She was an author and editor, and remembered mainly for her biographies. Henry E. Rood (1867-1954) was an author, educator, and associate editor of Harper's Magazine, which published some of Caroline's earliest works. The book is Near Fine, light spotting at end papers, small rubs to cloth at tips. . SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR. First Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Association Copy.
