Published NY: Simon & Schuster, 1948, first printing. 4to., 9 1/4" x 12 1/4", unpaginated, frontis portrait and illustrated throughout with 700 of Hurter's drawings created for the Walt Disney Studio. Intro by Ted Sears, note by Walt Disney. Hurter's sketches were the foundations for most of the Disney films of the Thirties. He designed characters and settings for Silly Symphonies, Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia and Dumbo. Gray cloth with titles in red reverse block. Light wear at the crown, traces of a few spots on cloth, two tiny spots on front edge of page block, previous owner name on rear pastedown. A very good, attractive copy. . 1st. Hard. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to.
