Image created by American illustrator Carolyn Haywood, produced for Postum Cereal Co. in 1928. "Health FirstHappiness Follows, this 1895 marketing slogan was created by Charles William Post, the founder of Postum Cereal Company Ltd., the founder of Grape Nuts Cereal. Filled with recipes and suggestions for lunch either at home or produced by school. At this time, children were starting to stay in school for their lunch meal and educators were becoming more aware of the importance of nutrition in a child's everyday life. Beautifully illustrated throughout. Previous owner's signature on front cover, otherwise clean and crisp.
