Helena is Evelyn Waugh's only historical novel that follows the quest of Helena of Constantinople to find the relics of the cross on which Christ was crucified. Waugh described this as his best work. Evelyn Waugh was an English writer of novels, biographies and travel books. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light marks to the boards and bumping to the head of the spine. Previous owner inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good Indeed
