Large, very thick, sturdy book, black covers, white lettering very fine on spine, black color inside covers and adjacent end papers, 559 pages including a glossy photo section and some maps. On page 29 there are several ink spots at the top. DJ glossy, a red-tinted photograph of POWs and bamboo wall repaired on front, spine and back. DJ has very slight surface wear at top back tip. DJ and book, both Near Fine.
