Good. 8vo. 63 pp. Scarce first number (Summer 1943) of this important literary magazine, with poetry by Saint-John Perse, George Barker, Charles Henri Ford, William Carlos Williams, Kenneth Patchen, Dunstan Thompson, Yvan Goll, and Alain Bosquet, and prose by Roger Caillois (on Perse), Parker Tyler, and Bosquet. French and English. An internally clean copy with wrappers separated from text block and fairly worn (bumped at edges, sunned, dustsoiled, with numerous spots and smudges, 3" closed tears at top and bottom of spine); binding sound; page edges tanned, corners bumped. With the ownership signature of poet Judson Crews (as J. C. Crews), interior otherwise unmarked.
