About This Item

Garden City: Doubleday, Doran, 1933. First Edition. Faint impression of a Christmas 1933 gift inscription from a daughter to her father on the front free endpaper. Near fine copy with the gilt-stamping to the spine gleaming in a very good slightly handled dust soiled dust jacket with a few small chips and tears. The fifteenth consecutive annual collection of the O. Henry Memorial Prize Stories comprised of fifteen short stories, including F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘Family in the Wind’, ‘Gal Young Un’ by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, ‘Country Full of Swedes’ by Erskine Caldwell, and ‘Impulse’ by Conrad Aiken.
