Herdsmen's Art in Hungary, 86 pages coloured plates and line drawings within the text then 32 pages of black and white photographic plates. Janos Manga describes the way of life of the herdsmen, making the reader familiar with the ethnography of this bygone world; he uses contemporary documents supporting this description, with a rich inventory of fine examples of pastoral art--those tools and utensils the herdsmen had to make themselves, and decorated them out of their own artistic sense. Clean blue/white pictorial binding with Hungarian decorated vase on front. Boards have a touch of edgewear at corners and spine ends. Tight & solid. Interior clean and unmarked. 85 pages + 42 b/w and 16 colour plates. 5.75 x 7.75 inches. 1972, Corvina Press, Budapest, Hungary
