New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1943. 154pp. Small quarto. Illustrated paper covered boards. Mapped endpapers. Heavily illustrated throughout with black and white plates taken from photographs. Previous owner's name and date near the top edge of the ffep; a different previous owner's bookplate to the verso of the ffep. Minor shelfwear to the edges of the boards and some toning to the textblock edges. The illustrated dustjacket has been price clipped and some chipping and closed tears. A tight and clean copy. Written by the wife of the famous explorer and geographer, Vilhjalmur Stefansson, this book is full of wonderful photographs that accompany Evelyn Stefansson's impressions of Alaska. 1943
