About This Item

London: George G. Harrap, 1966. A Very Good unmarked copy with light foxing to closed edges with complete dustjacket which is protected by a plastic cover. Thursday is the name of a mouse who literally descends on a large family of mice which live in an organ loft cupboard, his arrival being highly unusual as he floats in by balloon, but this is not the only unusual thing about him as he has escaped from a Home for Waifs and Strays (mice of course). The family decide to adopt him and Thursday's anxiety to help everyone leads him to attempt the rescue of a cuckoo from a cuckoo clock and reform his host's grocery business by turning it into a supermarket. delightfully illustrated by Daphne Rowles. C3D. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. Illus. by Rowles, Daphne. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
