About This Item

L Forster-Jones, nd(1955) 1955. 1st Edition. Hardcover. VG++/VG. 1st Edition. 12.7 x 21 cm blue cloth with gilt stamped titles to the spine, 111(1)pp with two 6 page poems by the same author sewn in in the rear. With a note from the author dated July 1960, 'To/the lover of cats,/ Christabel Aberconway/ from/ a lover of cats,/ John Jayne / Westroppe/ a token of gratitude/ for much pleasure/ given by her/ able compilation/ in the Dictionary' laid in. The author has also annotated the contents page to add the two poems sewn in at the back. The book has been well protected by the jacket and the boards are clean and unfaded with firm, sharp corners and just a hint of shelfwear. Internally, the book is clean and bright noting the annotation by the author and the laid in note. The dust jacket is lightly rubbed with a couple of very small ink spots to the rear a little toning to the spine. There is minimal loss to the spine and a couple of closed tears along the top edge. The dust jacket is now protected in a removable clear jacket (not shown in our images). All in all very nice 1st Editon copy with some interesting additions. Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions. All books are packaged with great care.
