About This Item
London: Macmillan, 1886. Book. Good+. Half Calf with Buckram. 518pp. HARDCOVER Half-bound leather with mottled cloth externally. Typical banded spine with gilt title. To the front, there is an additional label in gilt - being "Sturgis House 1886". I can only assume that this book was produced for a country house, and was specially labeleld accordingly. I have looked up the name, but haven't been able to find any further information. Marbled endpapers & external edges. Some light foxing to prelims, but clean internally. Newly treated leather. Overall, a smart copy. Size: 12mo - over 63/4" - 73/4" tall.
