Seattle: Patio Table, 1982. First Edition. Trade Paperback. Very Good. Book shows light wear to covers only. Binding is solid and square, covers have sharp corners, exterior shows no blemishes, text/interior is clean and free of marking of any kind. 87 pages with author photo at back cover. Includes one page typewritten letter - with paper mfg.'s watermark - from Mr. Bernstein to local author and historian Paul Dorpat, writing about what his work may mean. Jesse Bernstein was a notable figure at poetry venues in Seattle in the 1980's and often appeared with bands playing at the time in shows about town. He was known for his grating style and antics such as waving a pistol at the audience. He wrote the poem ""More Noise Please"" and recorded on Sub-Pop records, opening for bands such as Big Black, Soundgarden, U-Men and Nirvana. He took his life in 1991 and will be fondly remembered.
