About This Item
Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 5/8" by 5 1/2" by 1 1/4". Sky blue cloth binding, black and gilt lettering and pictorial detail to front board spine, black pictorial detail to rear board. Marking and scuffing to binding, though it has largely retained its colouring and the lettering and pictorial detail is still quite visible, if a little faded. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Tear to lower end of front outer hinge, a little tearing to spine. Slackness to binding, cracking to front inner hinge, some strain to textblock, though holding. Page edges browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Some marking and foxing to endpapers, prize-giving inscription from 1899 on verso of front free endpaper. Some marking to page surfaces but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
