About This Item

Columbus, Ohio: S. F. Harriman, 1903. Signed by the editor to the verso of the title page and handwritten No 273. Hardback. x, 460, [8]pp. Cream cloth spine over grey paper covered boards. Dust jacket. From the editor's note: " In this new volume...the Editor has followed the general plan adopted for the former one, - to make an Original Literary Miscellany in Prose and Verse, comprising Stories, Sketches, Essays, and Poems specially written for or contributed to it by various writers native to or identified with the Ohio Valley, accompanied by or illustrated with reproductions of Pictures and Drawings, as well as works in Sculpture by artists native to or identified with the Ohio Valley. The Editor feels confident that this new volume will be found in every respect equal to, if it does not surpass its predecessor, in both its literary and artistic contents, as well as in its general make-up as a specimen of the printer's art." Book in very good condition. Some soiling - mainly to edges of boards. Dust soiling to text block edges. Bumping to lower corners. Internally very clean and many pages unopened. Dust jacket fair. Unclipped. Generally rubbed and soiled with discolouration to spine and larger panels. Edge wear. Chipping to corners and to extremities of spine. Closed tears - mainly to folds. Jacket in a protective sleeve. A heavy book but no additional shipping costs to UK post codes.
