About This Item
London: Collins, 1973. Second impression of the second edition (hardback). 8vo (22cm by 15cm), xvi, 336pp. 6 colour plates, 50 b&w plates. Original green buckram, dustwrapper (by Clifford & Rosemary Ellis). This book was formerly in an institutional library, with occasional stamps, and there are tape stains to the rear pastedown; otherwise, the book and the dustwrapper are in very good condition (dustwrapper price-clipped). Officially, this is a new edition of New Naturalist number 6, but the book was completely re-written for this edition, and is sometimes referred to as New Naturalist 6a. ISBN 0002130920
