Hachette, 1924 Stapled 8vo, no covers, 64pp, Bibliography, Introduction,List of contents ( 11 chapters), Conclusion, numerous black and white illustrations every page, French text. Chapters cover the development of French costume from Barbare and Gallo-Romain to the Second Empire.But for minor tears, and wrinkle to last page (p. 64), Very Good condition. Separately,and Included with this book are 4 loose plates showing XVI and XVII designs of jewels, each plate contains numbered, detailed illustrations of between 25 and 48 items. Of the 4 plates, 3 are of jewels, i.e. earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, etc. and the 4th shows a watch, clock, knives, scissors, forks, spoons, oddities. There is little to identify these loose plates, other than Renaux del and Renaux lith, and Imp Firmin Didet et Cie, Paris are printed at the bottom of each. These are all Fine.. No Binding. Very Good.
