About This Item

Paris: Furne et Cie, 1858. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo, handsomely bound in full red leather, triple gilt ruled borders, raised bands, gilt spine, all edges gilded, illustrated with a number of engravings, a very good copy with heavy foxing to the first and last pages and to endpapers, some foxing sporadically to text, mostly to the plates and neighboring pages. Ironically there's a bookseller's typed label affixed to the front pastedown calling this a "spotlessly clean copy" when it fact, it's not that at all.
