Paris: No Publisher, 1785. Leather. Good. Full leather, with gilt banding on the borders and gilt decorations on the spine. 343 pp. All text in French. A continuation of a history of ancient Rome, starting with the expedition of Caesar against the Gauls, and discussing other subsequent invasions, battles and wars. GOOD. Heavy chipping and superficial loss to the leather along the hinges. Some scuffing and minor loss of leather to the covers. Rear cover faded and somewhat discolored. Extremities scuffed. Bookplate removed from inside front cover.
