London: Longman, 1879. Three volumes quarter-bound in brown leather and black paper. Presentation slip of the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury is bound into the front of each volume.Set was in the library of the Pritchard Jones Institute, but only library markings are Pritchard Jones Institute bookplate on front pastedown of all volumes, stamp of the institute on presentation slips, and residue of removed spine label at foot of spine on Vol. I. Volumes are Good to Good minus with significant edgewear to black-paper-coverd boards, minor scuffing and light soiling to boards, former owner's seal pressed into front free endpapers, minor foxing, age-toned pages, and bumped corners; brown-leather spines are relatively clean and less worn, and gilt spine lettering is bright on all volumes. Volume I has jagged tear and missing piece in center of rear free endpaper, where it was at one point glued to pastedown; "Errata et Addenda" page also has tear and missing piece at top gutter, where it was at one point glued to rear free endpaper. . Hard Cover. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Ex-Library.
