Bound in publisher's red cloth, gilt lettering and ornamentation over black to spine and front board. Lacking dust-jacket. Plain white endpapers. Xx pp prelim material, 443 numbered pp, plus one blank. Editor's preface, intro, entries for approx 94 world's fairs and expos, from London 1851 to Brisbane and Glasgow 1988; appendices (statistics, "fairs that never were", etc), bibliography, index. B&w photos. Condition notes: this is an ex-library copy with the typical array of stamps and sticker indicating such. Lacking dust-jacket. Spine ends rolled, top corners bumped. But actually quite a nice copy: binding square and tight, interior clean and bright. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
Furrowed Brow Books' goal is to offer an eclectic selection, while providing specialty offerings in Eastern Orthodoxy and Byzantine civilization, theology, Christian mysticism, science fiction/fantasy (Inklings emphasis), and military history.
