New York: Lyle Stuart, 1968. Later printing. Softcover. Very Good. 79 pp. in illustrated stiff wrappers. Very good, some light toning to the covers, interior clean. Third printing. Translation form the Spanish of a defense plea by Fidel Castro. "History Will Absolve Me" was a two-hour speech given October 16, 1953 by Castro. It was his self defense against charges brought about by by his leadership of the attack on Moncara Barracks. He was found guilty and sentenced to 15 years in prison but was granted amnesty by Batista in 1955. During his incarceration, he revised the original speech and iy subsequently became the manifesto of the 26th Of July Movement.
