London: University of London Press Ltd, 1969. 1st Edition. Green Cloth. Very Good Minus/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Illustrated. 232pp. A tightly bound first edition copy in wrapper. Gilt embossed lettering to the spine. Illustrated with numerous b/w photographic plates and line drawings throughout. There is a bump to the tail of the spine and a significant bump with split to the cloth at the tail of the front board. One gathering between pp 105 and 120 has been bound upside down. Clean and tight. Dust wrapper is price clipped with slight fading to the spine of the wrapper. Light shelf wear. A very good minus copy in a very good wrapper.
