A charming children's chapbook, with an animal representing each letter of the alphabet, starting with A a Antelope and ending with Z z Zebra. K k is "Kanguroo ... It's hind legs are very long, which enables it to run with great velocity," as well as its ashy colour (sic), living in New Holland, height, and vegetable diet.
12mo, 30pp, with a hand colored illustration of the animal on each page. Front wrapper lacking, making the half title page as the cover. Rear cover present, stitch binding, fox spotting throughout though very readable. The original owner has signed his name,Samuel D. Hootright or Hartright. OCLC: 213226391.
