No Publisher Noted, [1919]. HB. Black cloth, gilt lettering and 332nd Infantry insignia (The Lion of St. Mark) on front cover, 8vo, unpaginated. World War I unit history of Company E of the 332nd Infantry Regiment, part of the 79th Division. The 332nd Infantry were originally scheduled to serve in France, but were sent to Italy in July, 1918 at the request of the Italian government, participating in the Vittorio Veneto offensive. After the armistice, Company E was sent to Montenegro as a peace keeping force. This work a narrative, in verse, of the experiences of the members of Company E, profusely illustrated with photographs, and with a list of all members, home addresses, and nicknames. Previous owner's name ffep (Member of Company E), one page has pencil markings. Hinges weak but binding holding. Covers show edge wear. Very scarce World War I history of an American unit serving in Italy. Book condition VG-.
