This is #1341 of a Limited First Edition. Book reports that history shows that Gustave Whitehead predated the aerial ventures of the Wright Brothers and thus was first to fly. This is a unit history, with many photos of the Eastleigh U. S. Navy repair base in England during World War I; its officers and men. There are many photos of early military aircraft, and an essay on "Liberty Twelves" and "DeHavilands."

The front and back covers are flat, clean, bright, no rips, very slightly bent corners, no spine creases, a bit of sunning around all edges. Spine is slightly rounded instead of sharply right angled. Pages edges very slightly sunned. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, flat. One page dog eared about 1/2 inch, restored flat.
