Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Full leather with gilt-stamped spine label, 360 pages, frontispiece portrait of Lorenzo Dow. Covers stained, worn at extremities, pages toned/stained, frontispiece plate seems to have been torn away, was reattached with thread, note in period ink on front free end paper.
