Three volumes in contemporary half polished calf over marbled boards, backs elegantly gilt with red and green morocco labels, marbled end papers and edges. Bookplates lettered: 'Ex libris / Susanna. B. Holmes. / CC Snow". Susanna B. Holmes was the wife of Albion Bernard Emery, part-owner in the Silver King Mining Co. of Utah. Susanna became known as the "Silver Queen", and was at one time the richest woman in America. Near Fine, light wear to calf. A clean and lovely set. . First American Edition. Half Calf. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
