Four volumes together containing the bibliographical entries relating to bibliographies on History and Geography, historical figures, and related subjects extracted from the 5 volumes of Besterman's monumental "A world bibliography of bibliographies and of bibliographical catalogues, calendars, abstracts, digests, indexes, and the like" (4th and best edition). The coverage is geographically very wide-ranging, and includes both separately published books and monographs and serial publications (though not bibliographies appearing in periodicals). There are many entries for bibliographies on particularl countries. Classified arrangement (an author index would have been valuable). Besterman's indication of the approximate number of entries contained in each work is particularly useful. Lower edge of textblocks of volume 1-3 and top edge of volume 4 smokestained, otherwise Near Very Good.
