London; Hatchards, 187, Piccadilly,, 1878.. 1878 viii, 392 p. Two real photographic plates. 19 cms. Dark green cloth over bevelled boards, decorated iin black and gilt on the front board and spine. Minor rubs on the edges and spine ends and the final text leaves with some spotting, otherwise a very good copy. The history section is only 25 p. The rest of the text is devoted to detailed catalogues of the flora and fauna of the parish. There are occasional ink marginalia from the 1940s, mostly sightings in Herts. Scarce.
