200 pages in color illustrated hardcover (paper over boards with blue cloth spine). Illustrated throughout with beautiful steel engravings. Vignetted full color front cover depicts scenes from Irish history and a portrait of Hugh O'Neill. Full color rear cover depicts the globe with publisher's titles of other books in the One Syllable series. Rubbing and shelf wear along fore edge and top and bottom edges with some small losses to cover paper. Light scratches on rear cover. Spine edges rubbed. Spine title dulled. Gutters are firm with no splitting. Binding is firm. Pages are clean and unmarked.
