New York: McLoughlin Bros., 30 Beekman Street, [1863 to 1869]., [1863 to 1869].. Fair. - Octavo chapbook, 7-5/8 inches high by 4-1/2 inches wide. Softcover, color pictorial golden yellow wraps illustrated in red & black. The book is lacking the rear cover. The front cover is soiled, creased and chipped with several tears, some of which are reinforced with clear document tape from the verso. 8 pages, illustrated with 8 hand-colored wood engravings. There is occasional minor foxing and minor creases. There is a tiny teat to the front edge of the last leaf. Though lacking the rear wrap, the contents are otherwise complete.

McLoughlin Brothers was located at 30 Beekman from 1863 to April 1870. An early owner's inscription penned on the verso of the front cover is dated "Oct. 17, 1869".
