Duodecimo, 7 1/3" tall, xii + 215 pages, dark blue cloth, engraved frontispieces and 2 small illustrations. A fair+ first edition copy with original backstrip missing and replaced with the original paper label reattached, spine cocked, label worn, boards rubbed, hinges and binding broken, first signature loose, previous owner signature on the front endpaper and with the free endpaper missing, a newspaper clipping entitled 'The Oldest Organ in the U.S.' pasted to verso of half-title page; paper just lightly yellowed with light scattered foxing throughout.

Boston: Carter, Hendee and Allen & Ticknor, 1833. 8vo., blue cloth. Small clippings have been tipped in at a few leaves, including a magazine drawing of the church from 1903 and a newspaper article from 1893, a verse on the death of the author. As is: dampstain, rubbing and general soil to boards, which are starting, with a chip to the crown. Chip to half-title, frontis. starting, slight foxing. A reading copy.
