Dallington, UK: Naval & Military Press, 1997. Reprint . Hardcover. Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 398 [1], 671 [13] [1]. TWO VOLUMES uniformly bound in cream coloured boards, and lettered and decorated in black. Volume I includes nine coloured plates displaying the Legion uniforms. At the end of both Volumes I and II is a folding chart showing the casualty figures for the Legion. The text of these volumes are facsimiles of the first edition published between 1832 and 1837. The introduction by Dr. David Chandler, Head, Department of War Studies, The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, was of course, not part of the original publication. The book is a regimental history of the German troops commanded by the Duke of Wellington during the Peninsula Campaign, and at the Battle of Waterloo. Both volumes are in fine condition.
