Chichester: Phillimore and Co., 2003. [Kent Topography] SIGNED FIRST EDITION. Octavo (25 x 18cm), pp.xii; 484. With black and white illustrations, including a frontispiece map. SIGNED by the author in black ink to title page, being number 100 of 500 copies thus, hand numbered to a label on the verso of the dedication page. Publisher's brown cloth with gilt titles to spine. Light yellow endpapers. With the brown illustrated dust-jacket, priced at £50. Internally crisp and clean, with sunning to jacket spine, and some light handling. Very good. The most detailed history of the 'Village' area of Tunbridge Wells in existence, tracing developments on the hill between the Grove and the High Street from the late seventeenth up to the end of the nineteenth century.
