Dark blue cloth, gilt titles to spine, elaborate gilt design to cover. xiii, 539. Profusely illustrated in b&w from the original plates w/ photos and line drawings. Glossy pages. In the dust jacket, with a few small splash marks to top of front and rear panel, edgewear, one closed tear, repaired to verso with archival tape. Light wear to spine ends, else a very firm, sound copy, all but fine.
