(Subject: Regimental & Unit Histories - General) The story of the 15th Battalion the London Regiment in the Great War. Contains nominal roll of officers & other ranks, identifying those who died (1,227), monthly casualty figures, list of decorations & awards, roll of those who served in the S African War, Regimental strengths from 1860 to 1914 plus an illustrated appendix on the Regimental Plate. The first part of the narrative covers the period from 1859 to the eve of WWI. The second part is concerned with their service in France from 1915, & later in the Macedonian theatre from December 1916. Six months later they moved to Palestine to join Allenby’s EEF. After a year’s campaigning they were sent back to France in the wake of the German offensive.
