About This Item

London: Charles Clement, 1824. Cobbett (1763-1835) was a popular journalist and reformer who favored Catholic emancipation; his works remain popular today among Libertarians. This is a Good only copy of his most famous book. First Edition. Full leather binding. clean text, unpaginated. A series of lectures that most likely were first issued as cheap phamplets. Inked previous-owner signature on FFEP. Contemporary (1834?) ownership notation on the rear FEP; occasional notes within the text in the same hand; Rear leaves are all present but tender. The spine has been repaired with what looks like duct tape. While effective, Quercus considers this an ugly answer to the problem within, and recommends professional restoration. [Please note the issues; Quercus offers this as a Binding Copy, in need of repair or restoration.]. First Edition. Full-Leather. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
