Reviews
The 2nd installment to this was as enjoyable as the first, with a bit more adventure. These books have very unique characters that I find myself attached to. The photographs also add an awesome touch. It's a sort of fairytale/fable with some of the innocence of childhood but the depth and darkness of adulthood as well. I would have finished this much earlier but I have been training a new puppy and fell behind. I look forward to the next book to this series.
This is the second novel of "Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children." The book was probably written for a younger audience, young adult, but I couldn't put it down! Jacob Portman is starting to learn his talent and tune into it more to feel the hollowgasts. For the first time the peculiar children are out of there loop [in search of help to turn there ymbryne back into her human form] and are bouncing from different loops and time periods, to meeting new peculiars and enemies along the way. During the entire saga you're learning more about each character though. They play off each other's strength's and weaknesses. Jacob truly becomes one of the group. It's a harsh journey but the character development is beautiful.
