About This Item
Hollywood, CA: n.p., 1925. Mounted Photos. Fine. Two sepia toned gelatin silver photographs, both signed in white ink to "Billie" by Walter Rogers, measuring 6.5 x 4.25 inch wide and tipped onto thick paper measuring 8 x 10 inches wide. One photo has a faint crease to upper left corner and the paper mount has some light edge toning with a .75 inch closed tear at lower left corner, else fine. An interesting show of craft, to see the actor both while working a character, and while posing dressed in civilian clothes. "Walter Rodgers was born on August 31, 1886 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He was an actor and director, known for The Heart of Maryland (1927), The Dramatic Life of Abraham Lincoln (1924) and Fighting Fate (1921). He was previously married to Amanda Dorothea Sautters. He died on April 24, 1951 in Studio City, California, USA." imdb dot com.
