London: Printed for Scatcherd & Whitaker, 1790. General engraved title page and engraved frontispiece, separate title page to the new testament (which gives T. Rickaby as the printer), tables and notes to the foot of the page (the notes were printed low down at the foot of the page, so that they might be cut off by the binder - in this copy the notes are present, resulting in an unusually tall 12mo volume.) Contemporary full red straight grained morocco binding with gilt dove motifs to the spine, and gilt decorated borders to the boards, gilt dentelles. All edges gilt. Binding very good with a little general wear and rubbing, corners slightly worn. Contents clean and tight, gift inscription (heavy) to the verso of the title page dated 1867, the frontispiece is stuck down to the front paste-down, presumably to obliterate a previous ownership inscription. otherwise pages clean and crisp.
