About This Item
Amherst: the extension service, 1941. Pamphlet. 24p., has a few diagrammatic aids (testing rubberbands etc.) but is almost wholly text with a great amount of detail: lengths of time, volumes for preparation and product. Softbound, pamphlet in 9x6 inch plain printed wraps staple-fastened; slight creasings and small bump with tiny dog-ears, otherwise sound and clean, and free of markings. Extension Leaflet Number 142. Requires one to have or learn pressure-cooker skills. The published date suggests that this is a wartime activity, getting ready for scarcities.
