William Blackwood and Sons Ltd, 1881. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 293; 324pp., with 7 b/w illustrated plates, and one fold-out map (all accounted for). Original tan cloth with brown stamped titles and decorations to both volumes. Wear and soiling to the cloth (vol. 2 has water damage to the rear board, but does not affect the text), both volumes corners bumped; light foxing along the edges of the text block, hinges slightly cracked. Interiors are clean and bright. PLEASE NOTE: the books weigh more than 4 pounds packaged, and will require additional shipping charges.
