New York: Grove Press, 1966. First edition. Cloth. Fine/near fine. Stated first printing of the first American edition. The playright's most celebrated and best known work. After it's debut in London, it moved to America where the production won the Tony Award for best play of 1967. A handsome fine copy in charcoal cloth binding in a close to fine price-intact dustwrapper with a closed tear to the front panel. INSCRIBED by Pinter "To Peter [Cove] from Harold". Personalized inscribed copies of early Pinter works are uncommon and highly sought after.
